Privacy policy

• When you read the site: the hosting company processes request information and keeps short-lived server records, such as addresses and request times, to keep the site up and block attacks.
• Basic traffic totals: while serving a page or downloadable template, our hosting service increments daily counts for that public page or file. It also counts broad arrival sources (such as Google, Everybooking, Wilderness Edge or direct/unknown) and Canada, U.S. or other/unknown totals separately. The counter does not store IP addresses or their hashes, visitor identifiers, browser fingerprints, individual visit histories, full referring addresses, query strings, form answers or precise locations. It does not read or write browser storage or load a tracking script. IP addresses and request information are processed transiently to exclude our team and recognizable bots. These are aggregate page/request counts, not a count of unique people.
• When you book a call or answer the Instant Quote button questions: your first and last name, email address, phone number, business website, the answers you pick, and the time you choose. The form also receives this site's page path, the button used, campaign labels in that page's address, and the referring website's domain when available. The site does not forward full referring addresses, search queries or advertising click identifiers.
• If you accept analytics: Google Analytics receives page views, device and browser information, approximate location derived from the connection, a cookie identifier, the referring website's origin, and interactions with our industry examples, inquiry buttons, template download links and copy controls. We remove page query strings and fragments and do not send form answers, customer website addresses, names, email addresses or phone numbers in these events. Opening a booking form is measured as an opening, not as a confirmed appointment.
• When you email me: your message, your address and anything you choose to put in it.

• To answer you, to hold the time you booked and to remind you about it.
• To prepare for the call, which usually means reading the website you gave me.
• To understand which pages and sources bring relevant inquiries and booked calls.
• To keep a record of our conversation so nobody has to ask you the same thing twice.
• To send you the report you asked for, and occasional email about this work. Every message has an unsubscribe link, and replying "stop" works too.

I don't sell your information and I don't give it to advertisers. These companies handle parts of it for me:

• Everybooking, my own booking software, which stores the form answers, the quote record and the booked call.
• Cloudflare, which hosts this site, serves its pages and stores our basic aggregate traffic totals.
• Google Analytics, only if you accept analytics, to help us understand website use and improve our content.
• Google Workspace, where my email lives.
• The tools that send my email, currently Amazon Web Services and Loops.

I also give information to others when the law requires it, or to protect someone's safety or my legal rights.

These services may process information in Canada, the United States and other countries, so your information may be stored or handled outside your own country, where local authorities may be able to reach it under their own laws. If that is a problem for you, email me instead of using the form and say so.

I keep inquiry and booking records while there is a reason to: the conversation is live, you became a customer, or I need them for tax and legal records. When there is no reason left, I delete them. You can ask me to delete yours sooner. Analytics cookies and your saved analytics choice expire after 180 days. Google Analytics has separate retention settings for detailed event data and aggregated reports. We use its standard two-month event-data retention setting; aggregated reports may remain longer. Our separate hosting traffic counter keeps daily totals for 90 days, with a daily cleanup.

Under Canadian privacy law you can ask what I hold about you, ask me to correct it, ask me to delete it, and take back your consent at any time. Email kevin@zerosecondoffers.com and I'll reply within 30 days. If you are in a place with its own rules, such as the United Kingdom or the European Union, tell me and I'll handle your request under those rules.

If you think I've got this wrong, you can also complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

Optional analytics cookies are set only after you accept. Use Cookie settings in the footer to change your choice or withdraw consent. Withdrawing disables further Google Analytics collection and removes this site's Analytics cookies. Basic hosting traffic totals continue independently of this cookie choice; they do not identify you or follow you between pages. The counter skips requests with Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track enabled. The booking pop-up loads a page from my booking software, which has its own storage. The cookie policy explains exactly what and when.

This site is for business owners. It isn't meant for children, and I don't knowingly collect information about them. If a child has sent me something, email me and I'll delete it.

The site is served over HTTPS, and the booking records sit behind accounts only my team can open. No system is perfect, so please don't send me anything highly sensitive, such as card numbers or identification documents, through the form or by email.

When this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. If a change matters to people who have already contacted me, I'll say so by email.
