Cookie policy

A cookie is a small file a website asks your browser to keep, so that the site can recognise the same browser later. Some are needed to make a form work. Others count visits or follow people between sites.

Our hosting service counts page loads and template requests in daily totals, independently of your Google Analytics cookie choice. It uses no cookies, local storage, tracking script, fingerprint or visitor identifier. It stores no IP addresses, individual visit histories, full referring addresses or URL query strings. Broad arrival sources and Canada/U.S./other totals are counted separately. Known team traffic and recognizable bots are excluded. These counts cannot tell us how many unique people visited. Daily totals are kept for 90 days. Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track requests are skipped.

After you accept, the Google tag loads after the page finishes loading and the browser has idle time. It measures page views, general device information, approximate location and use of our industry examples, inquiry buttons, template download links and copy controls. The _ga and _ga_7Y6JT8NXDY cookies distinguish browsers and sessions. We limit their lifetime to 180 days without extending it on each visit. Google signals and advertising personalization are disabled. We do not send form answers or personal contact information as Analytics events. See how Google uses information from partner sites.

We save your accept or decline choice and its date in browser local storage under zso_analytics_consent_v1 for 180 days. This preference stays on your device. Before consent, and after declining, our pages make no Google Analytics requests. Cookie settings in the footer lets you change your choice at any time. Declining after accepting disables collection, clears this site's Analytics cookies and reloads the page to stop the loaded tag. It does not erase data already processed by Google. If browser storage is blocked, your choice applies only to the current page.

When you press a booking button, the free Instant Quote button or the website box, a panel opens over the page showing a form from site.everybooking.com, which is my own software, Everybooking. That page is the part that sets cookies, and only from the moment you open it. Every page has the booking pop-up's frame in it, including this one, but the frame is marked to load only when the pop-up is opened. The Instant Quote button pop-up is only on the pages that offer it.

• Keeping your place: a cookie and similar browser storage remember where you are in the form and what you have typed, so closing the pop-up and opening it again doesn't lose your answers.
• Keeping it working: Everybooking uses error reporting and security checks, provided by other companies, that may set cookies to tell a real visitor from an automated one.
• Measuring use: Everybooking measures how people move through its booking pages so the pages can be improved. This is about the booking form, not about following you around the internet.

Every browser can block or delete cookies in its settings, and can block third-party cookies on their own. Blocking them leaves this site working normally. The booking form may forget your place, so you would have to fill it in one sitting.

If I email you, the tool that sends it may record whether the message was opened or a link was clicked. I use that only to judge whether to follow up. Every message has an unsubscribe link.
